KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is the flag carrier of the Netherlands. It is part of the Air France-KLM group and a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance. Founded in 1919, KLM is the oldest airline in the world still operating under its original name.
Flying Blue is the frequent flyer program of Air France-KLM and it awards members points based on miles travelled and class of service. Membership into the program is free and is divided into Standard (Ivory), Elite (Silever) and Elite Plus (Gold and Platinum) statuses. Ivory is the basic level which is attained upon entry into the program. Elite status is attained by accruing a certain number of miles within one calendar year. Elite Silver, Elite Plus Gold, and Elite Plus Platinum cards have added benefits.
